For each resource we look for credible representations — portraits, sites, objects, historical maps — and refuse decorative filler.
When no image meets a documentary threshold, we prefer absence to a misleading picture. Resolution is judgment, not automation.
The work continues as we publish. Some records will gain an image later; others will remain deliberately without one.
An exact record beats an approximate image.
